I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Dave. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time. Dave was not only a valued member of our team but also someone who was always putting the interests of his customers first, and always wanted to deliver a work of high quality. David has been with us for a long time, I'll always remember the immense courage he showed a few years ago at a team meeting when he announced his illness and spoke about it in front of his team. His professionalism and involvement since then have been such that he made me forget that he could leave so quickly. David gave us a great lesson in courage and positivity despite what he endured, and I'll always remember him in that way. In this very sad time, I send my sincere condolences to his family.

I had the privilege of hiring David at Fortinet and working with him for a couple of years. From the moment David joined the SRM team, his enthusiasm and dedication made an immediate and lasting impact. In addition to being a talented professional, David was a person of great strength and resilience. His courageous fight against cancer was a testament to his unwavering spirit and determination. I remember that even in the face of such a challenging illness, David continued to approach life and work with courage, and positivity. David and I were in the same team. I will always remember David for his attentiveness and professionalism. When I first joined the company, he was the very first person to call me. He didn’t just welcome me but took the time to ask if I needed any help or if everything was going well. David offered his assistance in getting me familiar with the processes or anything else I might need. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture that made me feel supported and valued right from the start. His willingness to help left a lasting impression, and I will always cherish this memory of him. Even though I didn't have the opportunity to work directly with David and never met him personally, I really find it admirable how courageous he was in continuing to work and having such a positive attitude despite the illness he suffered. It's something I really value and it leaves me with a lesson. My thoughts are with his family. It's a tough time, but I'm sure they'll get through this difficult situation.

I had the pleasure of working closely with David over the past three or so years but it was a good year or so into that relationship that he told me what he was going through. He broke the news with a smile on his face explaining I would be his babysitter just in case something happened while we were together. We exchanged text a few weeks ago and as always he was making light of being bruised from head to toe from falling over too much and generally how bad his balance was. That was David always had a smile on his face, loved to laugh and was focused on being the best he could be. My thoughts and condolences are with his family. Although I didn't have the chance to meet David face to face, from the remote interactions I had with him he was very professional, seeking to provide value for his customers and also had some valuable ideas that contributed to our team's success. I met David when I joined Fortinet in 2022. The first thing I noticed about him was his puntuality, as he was always the first person to logon to our Team meetings with his lovely hat on. I also spent time with him during our SRM Summit, and got to know a bit more about him. David contributed so much to the team and added so much value to his customers, even when going through his treatment. Our thoughts and prayers are with Claire and Reece at this difficult time. I had the priviledge of working with David as a peer, and also as his Manager. More importantly, David was a friend. His contributions to our team, and Fortinet, were invaluable, and I will miss his wisdom, generosity, sarcasm and laughter. I will always cherish the time I spent with him during the UK/I SRM Summit, where we really connected and opened up to one another. David gave me a right telling off for smoking! David will never be forgotten and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to know him. To Claire and Reese, please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. David was one of the very first people I met from my team at Fortinet, when we attended a conference in London the week before I formally started with the company. He was welcoming, open and friendly; despite having had a disastrous morning trying to drive into London - his beloved car had suffered a flat tyre and he ended up having to leave it at a garage en route, which he was very annoyed about! But he kept a smile on his face and made me feel very welcome in my new team :) I also travelled to Amsterdam with Dave last November, we spent a lot of time chatting and his face lit up as he told me about how kind-hearted and generous his son Reece is, and how much he wanted to stay fit and healthy to play tennis and football with him. He spoke with love and pride about Claire and Reece and it was obvious how much he loved his family. Remembering Dave with great fondness, and sending much love to Claire and Reece at such a sad time - Dave will always be with you xxx

When I first joined Fortinet in 2021 Dave was so welcoming, and soon showed me the ropes. His wicked sense of humour and can do attitude set me off to a great start When we attended the Pulse conference, the highlight for Dave (other than the speakers) was him to show us his favoourite Indian resturant, he loved in the city. He fondly told me how much he craved his curry and beers each Friday, and how much he loved his wife and son and Jaguar Car. Thank you for always being so positive and fun, even when undergoing horrible treatment while managing Barclays. You were one of lifes best - Miss you xxx
